How to naturally gaining employee's commitment? I interviewed one candidate for promotion today and I admire his definition of employee engagement. He's so involved with not only his staff but also their spouses, kids and even parents. He visited them when they were in hospitals, at wedding receptions and funerals. He had his tea tarik session with his male staff regularly after office in a really 'santai' (relax) mode, not as their boss but as their friend, mentor or big brother.
He really manages his team like a family...that's a true employee engagement to me!
