A lot of other countries in the world have already set the retirement age of at least 60 while in Malaysia, we're still bavkward togather with PNG and a few others that maintain the retirement age at 55.
Is it good or bad? It depends. However in general, it helps the country to develop and depends less on foreign labour, however it's for mid range to high as compared to low level workers. But at least mid range and high range workers should be considered to extend their service untill 60, unless they have medical or productivity issues. If they do, they should opt for optional retirement. They souldn't force themselves to work and face the unnecessary consequences. Let be honest and work till you can but not work till you dropped dead...
